M: I can see both points of view but surely you can accept the fact that it isn’t totally influential when it comes to learning. There are, if I may say so, certain points you should bare in mind that everyone has their own individual way of learning and connecting with the teacher and their classmates.
A: I think we can accept your position on that, it depends on how the group works as a team more than how it’s composed.
C: You’re completely mistaken. How can a group work correctly when you have to face different reactions or thoughts according to the gender of the students?
M: Your question leads us back to my statement. It’s all about the relationship between the members of the group; it’s about how comfortable they feel with each other. I consider that there should be no problem in talking about certain issues in front of the opposite sex.
A: I am of exactly the same opinion. Sharing experiences with the other gender from a young age is the best way to learn how to act and how to react in front of everyone. It opens your mind in a big way.
C: With respect, I don’t agree with you at all. Coming back to what I was saying…
M: Sorry to interrupt but I think we could agree that both of you are right in some points, the difference caused by gender might be problematic at times, yes, but it can also help us open our minds and learn a lot from one another... don't you think? So maybe we can just conclude that none of the two kinds of education is better or worse than the other one.
